ABOUT THE PLANNER

 

 

Amy Sue is a firm believer in having roots and wings. “I have been on the road and lived in a few states, and I have realized that my roots shall stay in my hometown, but my heart will always belong in a bigger city, so I have decided to bring bigger city events closer to home.” Her early career path started out as a hair and make-up artist, working for weddings, modeling, big events, and other “entertainer” based opportunities so she pursued event planning as well, and has since happily produced events for the past 11 years.

 

 

Not only is Amy Sue an expert planner, she also has several other passions that relates with events that connect with modeling, pageantry, talent, and much more. The passions she applies to creating incredible events for her clients translate into beautiful, stress-free occasions as varied to who she serves for.

 

Amy Sue's passion for the bigger city events and entertaining make her an extraordinary planner, and her candor and affability has made her a top choice recommendation from past clients and vendors. She is a “relationship” type person and uses her intuition and attention to personal details to personalize the event planning experience. She loves to surprise her clients during their planning, taking extra care to get to know them so she can do the job right.

 

 

Over the years, she has demonstrated faith and balance, ingredients to achieving greatness both in business and life. She has been recognized in several wedding and event planning industry media for her achievements, as well as in other industries she has worked with. Amy Sue has also been mentored and trained by several top event planners in the industry. Amy Sue's education studies have been with Ashworth College (Interior Decorating), New York Institute of Art and Design (Interior Design & Event Planning), and La James Cosmetology College.  She considers her services an innate ability to make people feel comfortable half the battle to planning a successful event. “The other half lays in getting to know your clients, growing when necessary, and believing in yourself day-in and day-out.” In essence, Amy Sue and her services can be summed up as, “nothing borrowed, never too blue, elegantly old and refreshingly new.”

We are a full service event planning company offering coordination, design, hosting, and full planning services. All of our packages are customized to fit our client's individual needs. We also provide beauty services (hair & make-up), classes for our brides & grooms, and our own events. Amour is also launching a wedding magazine in late Spring 2014. Amy Sue is also set to have her wedding planning book published and available to brides and grooms in early Spring 2014.
